The Wallace Huckleberry Festival is a three-day celebration of the wild huckleberry in one of Idaho's most unique small towns. Historic downtown Wallace, where every building is on the National Register, is a pretty amazing setting for a food festival.
All about the huckleberry
Huckleberries are a big deal in this part of the world. They can't be farmed commercially, which makes them special. Every huckleberry is hand-picked in the wild. The festival celebrates this with huckleberry treats everywhere you turn: pies, milkshakes, pancakes, jam, and more creative concoctions than you'd expect.
What to expect
- Vendor booths throughout downtown with crafts, art, and handmade goods
- Huckleberry food, from classics like pie to adventurous new recipes
- Live entertainment on outdoor stages
- Family activities throughout the weekend
- Historic town tours and Silver Valley attractions
Booth info
Vendor booths are available for $130–$180 depending on location and size. Spaces fill up, so early registration is recommended.
About Wallace
Wallace calls itself "The Center of the Universe," and they even have a manhole cover marking the spot. This former silver mining town has reinvented itself as a charming tourist destination with amazing architecture, quirky shops, and a community that loves a good party. The drive down I-90 through the Silver Valley is gorgeous too.
